Mischievous Djinn is a world fusion dance collective based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We are fiery kindred spirits exploring the mysterious and mystical, playful and passionate, dangerous and deep. We are on a journey to blend the inner world with the outer world through dance... the line that separates them is much, much thinner than you think.

Earthly Works

Call for Talent: Djinn HARDCORE 3 - Shoot from the Hip

It's belly dance, it's burlesque, it's live music and magic and mayhem ... and it's at the Ritz Theater in NE Minneapolis this summer. That's right - it's time for the latest installment in our "Djinn HARDCORE" series: "Shoot from the Hip".

If interested, please send an email to lee@mischievousdjinn.com for details at your earliest opportunity.

Lesley at the Beirut

Lesley (formerly 'Hypatia Innais') will perform at the Beirut Restaurant in West St. Paul on Friday evening, June 4th - as part of the Guild of Oriental Dance's Open Stage night. The show begins at 8:30pm. Reservations are strongly encouraged; 651.457.4886.

The Next Big Thing

All of the members of Mischievous Djinn will appear onstage for Mourning Doll Playhouse's "Raqs NOX: B Movie" - a fusion dance celebration of cult films, B movies, and classic TV themes. Could this be more up our alley? (Answer: hell, no.) Load your car up with friends and help us turn Patrick's Cabaret into a drive-in theater this July.

For details on the show, please visit the Mourning Doll Playhouse site: Raqs NOX: B Movie.

See you soon!

Outrageous Bliss

Patrick Scully's Out Rage Us cabaret was a huge success last night (5/27), and we are grateful to have been a part of such a brilliant cast. The next cabaret is slated for July and plans are already afoot for the magic and mayhem.

HUGE thanks to all who came to watch us perform; your tolerance of our experimentations and overall encouragement is deeply appreciated. You make us incorrigible. That's right - we blame you. Heeee.

Patrick's Cabaret is a local safe house for bold, bright, controversial works - witty, wise, and wonderful stuff. Check out their online calendar for upcoming fantabulousness: the haps at Patrick's.
